LG Washing Machine (Wash Tower) OE error code
The OE error on your LG WashTower washer means water is draining very slowly or not at all. The drain pump filter is most commonly clogged. The WashTower requires at least 10 cm clearance at the rear and 2 cm on both sides for proper drain hose positioning. If the washer is installed too close to a wall the drain hose may kink.
Common causes
- Drain pump filter is clogged with lint or debris
- Drain hose is kinked because the unit is installed too close to a wall
- Drain hose is frozen in cold weather
How to fix it
-
1
Clean the drain pump filter: prepare a container for water, open the access cover on the lower front, take out the residual water drain hose and drain it, turn the cap of the pump, remove and clean the filter, reassemble all components
-
2
Check the drain hose and unfold any bends — ensure at least 10 cm clearance at the rear and 2 cm on both sides
-
3
Remove the drain hose from the drain, power on and perform a Spin cycle — if water flows out freely the drain hole is clogged, if not the drain pump needs inspection
-
4
To thaw a frozen drain hose pour warm water (50–60°C) into the drum, shut the door, and allow around 1–two hours so the drain pump can defrost
